MAJOR GENERAL MT IBRAHIM BOWS OUT OF SERVICE

The twenty seventh Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Major General MT Ibrahim has meritoriously bowed out of military service and proceeded into retirement.General Ibrahim was Commissioned into Nigerian Army in the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1983.
In a Pulling-Out-Parade organised in his honour by the 28th Comdt, Major General A Oyebade, General MT Ibrahim, thanked God for giving him the chance to serve his father land and for making him see his retirement. To the Cadets of the Academy, he admonished them against truancy, indiscipline and poor academic pursuits as these would cut short their careers in the Academy in particular and the military general. He thanked the Chief of Defence Staff and the Service Chiefs for the support and counsel he received through out his reign as NDA Comdt and in the course of his military career. The retired General took time also to thank his superiors and predecessors in all the roles and capacities he served while in service. He urged the entire NDA community to give his successor the needed Cooperation that would make him excel in his tour of duty. During a luncheon also organised in his honour at the Academy House, the official residence of the NDA Comdt, guests from were treated to varieties of meals, drinks and musical entertainment. The 28th NDA Comdt, thereafter presented a souvenir to his predessesor on behalf of the NDA community, paving the way for other invited guests, dignitaries, friends and well wishers to do same.
