7 DIVISION NIGERIAN ARMY DECORATES PROMOTED OFFICERS

The Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Tukur Buratai recently approved the elevation of deserving officers to the next higher rank, among these officers was the Deputy Director Army Public Relations of 7 Division Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Kinsley Samuel.

Colonel Samuel was decorated with the his new badge today 30th October 2017 by the acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division, Brigadier General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf at the Conference hall of the Division, in Maimalari Cantonment Maiduguri, Borno state. The promoted officer who hails from Akwa Ibom state was decorated along side with Major Aminu Salihu Ingawa of 57 Signals Brigade who was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Kingsley Samuel a distinguish graduate of Communication Art from the University of Uyo in Cross River State, was granted Presidential commission into the Nigerian Army as a member of the 30th Short Service Course in 1992.

He has held several appointments both at the Defence and Army Headquarters level before now and has also participated in United Nations Peacekeeping operations
in Liberia and Sierra Leon.

In his speech during the ceremony, the Acting GOC congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to justify the promotion by working assiduously in the discharge of their military duties.

While delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the decorated officers, Colonel Samuel thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai for finding them worthy of the promotion and promised to remain professional in the discharge of their duties. Dignitaries that graced the occasion include Commanders and Principal Staff Officers of the division.
