It was a celebration galore in Makurdi on Sunday, 27th October, 2019 as the Benue State capital city was shutdown as creme de creme of Benue political sphere converged in thousands to celebrate with the workaholic State Chairman of the largest party in Africa, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Benue State, Rt.Hon John Ngbede on his 57th Birthday and Thanksgiving Service at Methodist Church, Federal Low Cost Housing Estate, North Bank, Makurdi.
While addressing worshippers and well wishers who were present in honour of Hon Ngbede at the Thanksgiving Service which took place at Methodist Church, Federal Low Cost, North Bank Makurdi, the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Samuel Ortom and the Senator representing the good people of Benue North East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Gabriel Torwua Suswam paid a glowing tribute to Hon Ngbede for his quintessential leadership as the Chairman of PDP in the State which made the 2019 General elections easier tasks to overcome in Benue State.The two leaders eulogised Sir John Ngbede as a peace loving party man who had brought a lot of stability in the PDP, even as they prayed God to grant him more fruitful years ahead.
The State Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu, Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Mr. Titus Uba, Managing Director of the Benue Investment and Property Company Limited, Barr. Alex Adum among others also spoke glowingly about Sir John Ngbede.
Responding, the Celebrant, Hon.Sir John Ngbede thanked Gov Ortom and Senator Suswam for their support for PDP. He attributed the peace and stability enjoyed in the state at the moment partly to the cordial working relationship between Governor Ortom and Senator Suswam, even as he thanked God for clocking 57 years.
At the Dream Centre, Makurdi, venue of the reception in honour of Hon Ngbede, the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom represented by his Deputy, Engr Benson Abounu thanked God for protecting, guiding and blessing Hon Ngbede, thanked him for being a reliable and dependable friend and party Chairman and wishing the invited guests a successful celebration.
The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Mr Titus Uba who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, congratulated Hon Ngbede on his 57th Birthday and assured Benue people of people oriented legislation ahead by the state assembly.
Responding, the Celebrant, Hon.Sir John Ngbede thanked the guests for attending both the Thanksgiving Service and Reception despite their tight schedules. Hon Ngbede who was full of happiness attributed the success of the event to the support he got from the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.
Hon Ngbede thanked God for His immense blessing for his family, saying his birthday was on Wednesday, 23rd October, 2019 and coincidentally, his first daughter’s birthday was on Sunday, 27th October, 2019, the day of his 57th Birthday Thanksgiving Service.
