VILLA Team visits Buratai for improved logistics approach

The harmonisation of defence logistics and equipments is necessary for effective and enhanced defensive mechanism for the maintenance of security in the country.

This is why the Villa Team led by Maj. Gen John Zaruwa were in the Nigerian Army headquarters, Abuja, to present its Vertically Integrated Logistics Approach to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai.

Briefing newsmen immediately after a close door meeting, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai said they are satisfied with the logistics package brought forward by the VILLA Team .

“We have listened to the detail presentation from the team that came to explain the products of what they have been doing for almost four years to make sure that the armed forces of Nigeria gets its logistic programme right.

“The presentation was very inclusive and dedicative and the responses and contributions we all Germaine to the presentation”. COAS expressed.

The representative of COAS, Chief of Policy and Plans, Lt. Gen. Lamidi Adeosun, promised to convey the report to the COAS for the necessary considerations.

“On behalf of the COAS I want to commend the team for all the effort you have put together to come up with something that we can work with to make sure that there is improvement in the way we do our logistic business within the armed forces.

“For the army particularly, all the observations and recommendations which we have all proffered will be looked into and the very minute detail would be presented to the COAS for decision making”.
