The military high command has said, not fewer than 21 armed bandits have been invalidated by troops of Operation Hadarin Daji at Zurmi in Zurumi LGA of Zamfara State, in what the report described as a fierce encounter.
Coordinator, Defence Media Operations,(DMOs) Defence headquarters, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, in a statement made available to Enugu Reporters further regretted the untimely death of about four soldiers paid their supreme price during the encounter.
According to him, the exploitation is still in progress stressing that the details of the encounter will be made available in a jiffy as soon as it was concluded.
Gen. Enenche however maintained that the troops who have engaged in the operation were in high morale, and have since commenced aggressive patrols in the area, for domination and confidence building among the locals.

“Gallant troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI engaged a large number of bandits by 201530hrs April 2020 at Zurmi in Zurumi LGA of Zamfara State. After a fierce encounter, Twenty One (21) bandits were neutralized and Four (4) of our troops paid the supreme price. Exploitation in progress. Details to follow.
“Meanwhile the troops in high morale, have commenced aggresive patrols in the area, for domination and confidence building among the the locals”. He stated.
Gen Enenche further enjoined the general public to provide credible information that will help to get rid of the bandits as the Military was determined to securing the Country.
