Troops of Operation ACCORD has on 6 June, 2020, eliminated about 3 bandits as well as captured 4 of them alive and recovered several weapons during a cordon and search operation at Yauyau and Zandam villages in Zamfara state.

Maj. Gen. John Enenche, Coordinator, Defence Media Operations (DMO), Defence Headquarters disclosed this in a statement made available to Enugu Reporters on Sunday.
Enenche earlier stated that, troops of ACCORD had on 5 June 2020 intercepted a Bandits’ Gun-runner and Logistics supplier
This is in continuation of clearance operations against Bandits and Cattle rustlers in parts of Zamfara State.

He further said , on 6 June 2020 troops engaged fleeing bandits along Dunya- Dangeza road and recovered 2 Dane guns and 4 Motorcycles.
According to him, troops destroyed the Daban Jabi camp of a notorious Bandit Leader known as Dan Jangeru.
He also said,about 2 bandits lost their lives while others escaped with gunshot wounds,at Warnu village and one AK 47 rifle was recovered in the process.
According to him, some of the captured bandits were in their custody undergoing interrogations.

Operation ACCORD which is a subsidiary of Operation
KATSINA had been established to clear the remnants of bandits and the surviving ones who are fleeing to other places for safety.
Some of the items recovered during the separate operations include 496 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and one Bajaj Motorcycle in Mararraba Maigora in Faskari LGA.
He however conveyed the commendation of the Military High Command to Operation HADARIN DAJI and Air Component of Operation ACCORD, for their dexterity.
He equally enjoined the general public to continue to provide timely and credible information that would assist in eliminating bandits and other criminal elements in the Country.
