In his address to the people of the state on Thursday, governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state appealed to the protesters to exercise patience as the government has constituted and investigative panel on police brutality.
The governor who expressed sympathy over the lost of lives and properties within the past few days pointed out that the #ENDSARSPROTEST has obviously been hijacked by hoodlums and therefore called on parents to restrain their loved ones from engaging in similar unlawful acts.
He maintained that the 24 hours curfew earlier imposed on the Enugu-East North and South LGAs continues on Friday 23 October.
