In a move to strengthen ties with the media and promote better public understanding, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar hosted a media parley with select executives on May 21, 2024, at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Headquarters in Abuja.
Director of Public Relations and Information NAF Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet in a statement on Tuesday said, the parley was part of NAF’s 60th Anniversary celebrations, which offer a platform to reflect on past achievements, highlight current successes, and outline plans under his leadership.
Air Marshal Abubakar stressed the crucial role of the media in shaping public perception and understanding of NAF operations.
He shared strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing force structure, enhancing operational capabilities, and improving personnel welfare.
The CAS also provided insights into ongoing and upcoming projects designed to enhance NAF’s operational effectiveness.
Enugu Reporters explained that this engagement demonstrates the CAS’s commitment to fostering a collaborative relationship with the media, ensuring accurate reporting, and promoting a better understanding of NAF’s contributions to national security.
