Gov Sani hails NAF’s security efforts, presents C of O for post service housing scheme

The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has commended the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) transformation and security contributions for the peace and development of Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement released by the Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet on Tuesday.

The Governor gave the commendation when he visited the NAF Headquarters on June 3, 2024, to present Certificates of Occupancy to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, for lands allocated to the NAF at the new Millennium City in Kaduna State.

Governor Sani praised the CAS for his exceptional leadership, transforming the NAF into an “agile and resilient force.” He highlighted the NAF’s crucial role in Operation WHIRL PUNCH, which has significantly reduced terrorist attacks and criminal activities. The Governor also commended the upgrade of the 271 NAF Detachment at Birnin Gwari to a Wing status and announced the allocation of 10 operational vehicles to support ongoing operations.

The CAS, Air Marshal Abubakar, expressed gratitude for the Governor’s support and commitment to collaborating with the NAF. He assured that the allocated lands would be utilized for the benefit of NAF personnel and vowed to continue working tirelessly to rid Kaduna State and its surroundings of criminal elements.

This milestone marks a significant step in the ongoing collaboration between the Kaduna State Government and the Nigerian Air Force, demonstrating their shared commitment to addressing security challenges and ensuring the safety and security of the state and its citizens.
