The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, on Thursday charged 725 retiring military personnel to “be the change they wish to see” as they transition to civilian life. He stated this at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre’s (NARC) Passing Out Ceremony, for Trainees Course 01/2024 in Lagos.
In a rousing call to action, the CNS who was the Special Guest of Honour praised the retirees’ dedication and sacrifice, urging them to become ambassadors of the Armed Forces, positively impacting their communities.
He thanked the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for the welfare packages initiated to ease the life of retirees.
The ceremony was convivial, colourful and cheerful typifying the excitement of service men and women who had given their all for the sake of motherland
It also marked a significant milestone as 725 retiring personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force completed their training, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to transition into civilian life.
The ceremony was a vibrant celebration of service and dedication, culminating in group photos, exhibition stand visits, and a sense of pride among retirees embarking on their new journey, as reported by Enugu Reporters.
