In a demonstration of the importance of media-military collaboration, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, Friday, received the Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Dr Mohammed Bulama, and his management team at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
General Musa whilst commending the FRCN for their consistent support, acknowledged the critical role the media plays in shaping public perception and narratives.
According to the Director Defence Information Brigadier General Tukur Gusau in a statement, the CDS emphasized the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s (AFN) commitment to a people-centric approach, stressing the need for cooperation between the military and the general public to achieve a better Nigeria.
General Musa reiterated the military’s dedication to professionalism, decorum, and the rule of law in defending democracy. He also highlighted the importance of countering harmful ideologies and extremism, expressing gratitude for FRCN’s readiness to provide platforms for the non-kinetic approach to warfare.
Earlier, Dr Bulama praised the military’s patriotic efforts in sustaining democracy and pledged FRCN’s commitment to partnering with the AFN in its fight against insurgency.
The visit was a testament to the synergy between the media and the military, fostering a stronger partnership in promoting national security and stability.
