NA set to hold landmark conference, charting strategic course for Q4 and beyond

The Nigerian Army (NA) is poised to convene the Chief of Army Staff Combined Second and Third Quarters Conference, a pivotal gathering scheduled to take place at the Council of Chiefs Hall in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director Army Public Relations in a statement on Friday said the high-level conference billed to be held from Monday, August 26 to Friday, August 30, 2024, will provide a platform for the NA leadership, senior commanders, and participants to conduct a comprehensive review of ongoing operations, training, and activities, aligning with the organization’s constitutional mandate.

According to the statement, strategic projections for the fourth quarter will also be discussed, alongside an in-depth examination of counter-insurgency operations, anti-banditry efforts, and other critical missions nationwide.

Participants will gain valuable insights into the Chief of Army Staff’s future agenda for the NA, while presentations on operations, administration, logistics, and key events outlined in the Nigerian Army Forecast of Events 2024 will also feature prominently.

The conference promises to make crucial decisions aimed at enhancing the Service’s functionality and effectiveness, which will be considered during the proceedings.

The conference will draw participation from an esteemed group of attendees, including Principal Staff Officers of the Army Headquarters, Corps, Formation and Operations Commanders, Commandants of NA Schools and Tri-service Institutions, as well as selected NA officers serving in key appointments and tri-service establishments.
