In a series of operations aimed at disrupting terrorist activities and apprehending their arms and logistics suppliers, Nigerian Army troops, in collaboration with other security agencies, have successfully arrested 15 suspects and neutralized one.
The operations, conducted across various locations, also resulted in the recovery of arms, ammunition, and substantial logistics.
On August 30, 2024, troops conducted a raid on terrorist gun runners and logistic suppliers in Taraba State, arresting five suspects and recovering arms and ammunition, including AK-47 rifles, fabricated rifles, and Dane guns.

In Yobe State, troops arrested three Boko Haram logistic suppliers, seizing vehicles, motorcycles, and a large quantity of drugs. The suspects revealed they had been evading security checks by collaborating with local vigilantes.
In Kaduna State, troops arrested four terrorist gun runners and logistic suppliers, recovering ammunition and mobile phones. The suspects had in their possession recharge cards and a significant amount of cash.
In Edo State, troops neutralized a notorious kidnapper and recovered arms and ammunition. In a separate operation in Plateau State, troops apprehended three wanted kidnap suspects and recovered a fabricated pistol and live cartridge.


The Chief of Army Staff commended the troops for their resilience and dedication, emphasizing the importance of sustaining the momentum of the offensives to ensure the continued safety and security of the nation.
The Nigerian Army remains committed to eradicating terrorism and associated crimes to ensure peace and stability across the country.
