In an extraordinary display of excellence, Air Commodore David Olumuyiwa Babalola, a renowned consultant clinical pharmacist with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has made history by clinching not one, but three prestigious awards at the 97th Annual National Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN).
The Director Public Relations and Information NAF, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa disclosed this in a statement said the Air Commodore David Babalola award and recognition was a testament for his quality and exceptional contributions in his professional career.
Air Commodore Babalola emerged as the best public sector hospital pharmacist, earning a cash prize of ₦1,000,000.
This award celebrates exceptional contributions to patient care, career achievements, innovation, research, training, philanthropy, and leadership. He said , the officer one of the four winners, was recognized for outstanding contributions to hospital and community pharmacy, receiving a commemorative plaque, certificate, and cash prize.
Our correspondent noted that this is the highest honour awarded to pharmacists in Nigeria and this acknowledges his exemplary and meritorious service.
Air Commodore Babalola’s achievements mark a significant first for any pharmacist from Nigeria’s Armed Forces or security agencies, setting a new standard in the PSN’s two-decade history of sponsored company awards. His dedication to advancing pharmacy practice in Nigeria has earned him numerous accolades, solidifying his position as a pioneer in the field.
In his remarks, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, congratulated Air Commodore Babalola, praising his professionalism and dedication.
The CAS noted that this achievement underscores the NAF’s commitment to fostering excellence in all fields of service.
