Military closes in on notorious terrorist leader Bello Turji as two prominent terrorists surrender

In a significant development, the Nigerian military has intensified its efforts to track down and apprehend Bello Turji, a notorious terrorist leader operating in the northwestern region of the country.

This comes on the heels of the surrender of two prominent terrorist leaders, Abu RADDE and UMAR BLACK, who operated in the Batsari and Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Major General Edward Buba, Director Defence Media Operations in a statement on Tuesday said their surrender was a result of ongoing synchronized offensive operations by the ground troops and the air component, which dislodged several terrorists from their enclaves and inflicted high casualties.

He noted that as the military continues to sustain the momentum, they are now focusing on hunting down Bello Turji and other terrorist leaders.

Enugu Reporters earlier reported that the troops have recovered assorted weapons and ammunition, and secured the release of 15 hostages held by the terrorists.

The military’s resolve to eliminate the threats posed by terrorists and destroy them on the battlefield is unwavering.

The message by the military high command is clear, that terrorists should either surrender or face the consequences.

The Nigerian military’s counter-terrorism efforts have been gaining momentum, with a series of successful operations aimed at dismantling the network of bandits terrorizing the region.

According to the earlier reports, troops had dismantled Bello Turji’s hideout in the Fakai area of Shinkafi Local Government Area in Zamfara State. This is a testament to the military’s determination to restore peace to the affected communities.
