NAF partners Presidency to enhance personnel capacity through industrial training

In a significant move to bolster the capacity of its personnel, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has partnered with the Presidency to provide industrial training for its personnel, particularly those nearing retirement.

Reports say, this collaboration aims to equip retiring personnel with practical skills for civilian life, focusing on areas like aerospace technology, ICT, and agriculture.

This partnership was reaffirmed during a courtesy visit by the Senior Special Assistant to the President (SSAP) on Industrial Training and Development Initiatives, Honourable Adamson Ayinde, to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, at NAF Headquarters,Abuja on Friday.

The visit explored opportunities for collaborative industrial training, highlighting the importance of preparing retiring personnel for a seamless transition into civilian life.

During the visit, Air Marshal Abubakar emphasized that such initiatives align with the NAF’s structured approach to training, benefiting both serving and retiring personnel. The CAS noted that the NAF is committed to continuous training and capacity building, recognizing the importance of equipping its personnel with the necessary skills to contribute to national growth.

Enugu Reporters reports that the partnership is expected to enhance personnel development, providing NAF personnel with the skills and knowledge required to excel in various fields.

The NAF seeks to create a versatile workforce by concentrating on key areas such as aerospace technology, ICT, and agriculture, enabling its personnel to excel not only in military duties but also make meaningful contributions to the country’s economic growth and social progress.
