The Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Major General John Ochai, has received the esteemed Defence Training Medal Award. The award ceremony was held on Monday at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, attended by top military officials.
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, who presented the award to the Commandant praised Major General Ochai’s exceptional leadership and dedication to excellence.
The CDS emphasised the significant of the award ,noting that it’s a symbol of appreciation for the hard work and diligence exhibited by Commandants and Directors General of various defence establishments.
The award given to Major General Ochai was in recognition of his outstanding contributions to training Nigeria’s future military leaders.
Several other military leaders also received their respective awards for their contributions to the military in different capacities.
The Defence Training Medal Award highlights Nigeria’s commitment to developing a strong and capable military. It ensures that military leaders are equipped to handle future challenges.
