The Commander Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), Major General Kevin Aligbe, has inaugurated the 2025 Department of Training In-House Study Period.
Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations TRADOC in a statement on Tuesday said, he training emphasised the critical role capacity building and sound training enhanced joint military operations.
The event, held at the TRADOC NA Auditorium in Minna, aimed to bolster joint military operations through enhanced training and capacity building.
Themed “Promoting Capacity Building through Effective Training for Joint Operations,” the study period brings together high-ranking military officers, experts, and stakeholders.
It is expected that participants will engage in discussions on pressing security challenges and strategies to improve training effectiveness.
Speaking, Major General Aligbe underscored the significance of the study period in advancing a professionally responsive Nigerian Army.
Represented by the Chief of Research Development Test and Evaluation (CRDT&E), Major General Aminu Chinade, the Commander noted that the army’s transformation has seen notable developments, focusing on operational efficiency within joint and multi-agency environments.
The Commander emphasised the importance of collaboration between the Nigerian Army and relevant security partners to leverage global advancements.
He encouraged participants to contribute meaningfully to discussions, as the study period’s outcomes will inform the Nigerian Army’s training policies and operational strategies.
Earlier, the Chief of Training expressed confidence in the selected resource persons’ ability to provide insightful perspectives on pressing security issues.

According to the statement, the study period has drawn participants from various units, including the Headquarters Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army, 31 Artillery Brigade, and 313 Artillery Regiment
