The SANGDID Foundation has empowered over 100 widows and vulnerable members of society through its week-long “Spread Love” event.
This remarkable display of philanthropic gesture was held from February 24 to March 1, 2025, at TA Lagbaja Cantonment in Ikeja, Lagos State.
The event provided essential support to those in need to give them succor ,care and alleviate suffering as well as give them a sense of belonging.
SANGDID Foundation, a humanitarian organisation is founded by Barrister (Mrs) Ndidiamaka Akpaumontia, is dedicated to promoting a culture of care, compassion, and empowerment. With a special focus on supporting widows, children, and communities in need, the foundation’s activities have made a tangible difference in the lives of its beneficiaries.
Reports say, this year’s event offered a range of services, including free medical checkups, distribution of free drugs, and eye tests conducted by qualified entomologists.
Barrister (Mrs) Akpaumontia participated actively in the event, distributing food items and providing encouragement to the beneficiaries.
One of the participants, a widow struggling to care for her four young children, expressed her gratitude for the program. “I had been battling with my blood pressure since my husband passed away, and I had no work as I was a full-time housewife. But thanks to this program, my children and I received free medical care and drugs. I am so grateful to the organizers and pray for them.”
The medical personnel who participated in the programme also commended Mrs. Akpaumontia and the SANGDID Foundation for their annual support.
The SANGDID Foundation’s areas of impact include economic empowerment programs for widows, education and skills training, mediation and conflict resolution services, health and wellness initiatives, and community outreach and development programmes. Through its work, the foundation continues to inspire hope and transformation in the lives of those it serves.
