In a move to enhance its public relations and strategic communication efforts, the new Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken over command as the 23rd DOPRI.
He is Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, who takes over from Air Vice Marshal Olusula Akinboyewa, previously held the position and now appointed as the Director Civil Military Relations (DCMR), NAF Headquarters, Abuja.
During the handing and taking over ceremony at NAF Headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, Air Commodore Ejodame expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, for the confidence bestows on him.
He thanked his predecessor, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, for his exemplary leadership and guidance.

Air Commodore Ejodame solicited the unflinching support and cooperation from the media to enable him to succeed in his new task and pledged to run an open-door policy in his tour of duty. “I wish to express my profound gratitude to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, for the trust imposed on me to undertake this very big task, of which I pray and pledge to give nothing short of my very best.”
Earlier, Air Vice Marshal Akinboyewa appreciated the support of the media and public relations partners, acknowledging their crucial role in promoting the NAF’s activities and achievements.
The outgoing DOPRI congratulated Air Commodore Ejodame on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to excel in his new role, given his wealth of experience and pedigree.
Air Commodore Ejodame has a distinguished career spanning several decades, with expertise in logistics, strategic planning, and defense management. His notable achievements include serving as Directing Staff at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, and the National Defence College, Abuja.

He was also the Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kadentra, and the Director of Procurement at the same institution.
Air Commodore Ejodame’s academic credentials are impressive, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Transport and Logistics, and a PhD in Information Systems and Management Studies from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.

As a distinguished scholar, researcher, and public relations professional, Air Commodore Ejodame is well-equipped to enhance the NAF’s public relations and strategic communication efforts.
His appointment is a testament to the NAF’s commitment to professionalism and transparency.
