The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has rallied frontline troops to maintain their focus and resolve in securing the nation, as the Nigerian Air Force celebrates its 61st anniversary.
The CAS stated this when he embarked on an operational tour to the frontline troops on Tuesday in Katsina State.
According to the Director Public Relations and Information NAF Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said Air Marshal Abubakar emphasised that despite significant gains, the fight against terrorism and insurgency is far from over.
“We have achieved commendable milestones, but this is not the time to slow down. We must not rest on our oars. Now is the time to consolidate and intensify our air strikes against terrorists, insurgents, and bandits,” he said.
The CAS reaffirmed the NAF’s unwavering commitment to national security, assuring Nigerians that the Force remains fully deployed and dedicated to its constitutional mandate. “Nigerians can be rest assured that we remain fully committed to our constitutional mandate. We will continue to give our very best in defence of our nation,” he added.
Air Marshal Abubakar also interacted with troops, inspected facilities, and assessed the state of deployed platforms, underscoring the leadership’s commitment to troop welfare and operational effectiveness.
Speaking further, the CAS emphasised the need for continued vigilance and determination. “Even as we mark 61 years of dedicated service, we must give our fellow countrymen more reasons to hope, more victories that reassure them that their Air Force remains alert, ready, and determined to defeat all enemies of peace,” he stated.
