In a bid to strengthen partnerships and explore new opportunities for enhanced local production and self-sufficiency in defence-related products, the Managing Director/CEO of Consulting and Supply International (CSI), Mr. Family Bobsoun, paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Major General Babatunde Ibrahim Alaya, on May 30, 2025.
Lieutenant Colonel Haruna Mohammed Sani, Deputy Director Public Information and Media, DICON, disclosed this in a statement said, the visit aimed to foster a robust partnership between CSI and DICON to support local production of military hardware.
During the visit, Mr. Fadi reiterated CSI’s commitment to collaboration, assuring the DG DICON of seamless cooperation with symbiotic benefits to both establishments.
In his response, Major General Alaya commended Mr. Fadi for his strategic foresight and collaborations in producing defence needs for the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other para-military agencies.
“The partnership would no doubt accelerate the actualization of the Military Industrial Complex with DICON as the hub, thereby providing the needs of not only the Armed Forces of Nigeria but Africa as a continent,” he stated.
The DG DICON appreciated CSI’s support, urging them to continue on the positive trajectory of supporting self-reliance and self-sufficiency in defence-related products.
Enugu Reporters reports that both parties expressed optimism about the potential for a fruitful collaboration, which could lead to significant advancements in Nigeria’s defence sector and contribute to the nation’s overall development.
The visit also highlighted the growing interest in Nigeria’s defence industry and the potential for local and international partnerships to drive growth and innovation.
CSI, a Nigeria-based defence solutions provider, specialises in supplying military-grade equipment and logistics, including arms, ammunition, armoured vehicles, tactical gear, among other, offering a comprehensive range of products to support security and defence operations.
According to the statement, the partnership between CSI and DICON is expected to boost local manufacturing industries in defence-related products, enabling the Armed Forces of Nigeria to conduct its constitutional mandate effectively.
