The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully conducted a series of precision airstrikes, on June 5 and 6, 2025, decapitating key Boko Haram hideouts in Borno State ahead of Eid celebrations.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, said the airstrikes, targeted terrorist structures in Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia, Southern Tumbuns, Borno State
According to him, acting on credible intelligence, NAF aircraft delivered direct hits on terrorist storage and coordination facilities, crippling planned attacks that threatened to disrupt Eid festivities.


He noted that as confirmed by Battle Damage Assessments, the operation resulted in the neutralization of several terrorists and the destruction of critical logistics structures.
The NAF’s swift action underscores its commitment to protecting civilian lives and supporting national security objectives.
