EndSARS protests reach national assembly

Anti-SARS protesters have taken their campaign to the National Assembly Complex in the Federal Capital Territory.

This comes after days of continued protests against excesses of some personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.

Protesters ccontinuously sang the national anthem, saying its in honour of Nigerians who lost their lives to police brutality.

Their demands include; prosecution of police involved in extrajudicial killings, dissolving of SWAT and end to bad governance.

There is a high presence of security at the entrance of the National Assembly Complex as the crowd of protesters grows.

Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has since disbanded SARS and replaced it with a new unit tagged SWAT.
