Forward Operating Base IGBOKODA, Tuesday uncovered a clandestine hideout in Ugbo V1, Ondo State, exposing a web of oil bunkering suspects.
The suspects caught off guard, fled the scene, leaving behind multiple drums of illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).
Acting on credible intelligence, the Nigerian Navy’s intelligence personnel are hot on the trail of the fleeing suspects, determined to bring them to justice. The operation, codenamed “DELTA SANITY,” is part of the Nigerian Navy’s unwavering efforts to combat crude oil theft and illegal bunkering activities in the region, Enugu Reporters reported.
The successful raid marks a significant milestone in the fight against oil theft, and the Nigerian Navy remains resolute in its commitment to protecting the nation’s natural resources.
