
In a landmark ceremony on May 24, 2024, the Enugu State Government presented a certificate of return to the newly elected executives of the Adu Development Union, led by Engr Joseph Chinedu Uzo. The event, held at the Ministry of Rural Development’s conference room, marked a significant milestone in the union’s history.
In his remarks, Deacon Okey Ogbodo, Commissioner for Rural Development, extended warm congratulations to the new executives on their election victory.
Mrs Queendaline Odike, Director of Town Union Development, representing the Permanent Secretary, urged the executives to discharge their duties with diligence, determination, and accountability, in line with established procedures.

The executives were charged to justify their victory by providing leadership that would elevate the community to new heights.
Also speaking, Engr Joseph Uzo, President General, expressed gratitude to the Ministry for creating an enabling environment for a peaceful election process.
The ceremony culminated in a heartwarming visit to the hospital to show support for community members involved in a recent car accident. This gesture underscored the union’s commitment to the well-being of its members.
The Enugu State Government’s recognition of the new executives paves the way for a productive and successful tenure, aligning with the state’s development strides.
