In a significant milestone in the fight against cybercrime, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has launched a cutting-edge platform for reporting cybercrime-related offenses.
The Force Public Relations Officer Force Headquarters, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a statement on Thursday said the new platform, managed by the NPF National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), is designed to enhance the safety and security of Nigeria’s digital space.
He said, the link can be accessed at [https://nccc.npf.gov.ng/ereport/signin]. He explained that the upgraded domain replaces the previous site [https://incb.npf.gov.ng] and features enhanced security measures to protect user information and ensure confidentiality.
The user-friendly platform , according to the statement enables easy and efficient reporting of cybercrime incidents, with improved tracking and response mechanisms to ensure timely and effective action on reported cases.
The Inspector General of Police urges the public to utilize this new platform, emphasizing that vigilance and prompt reporting are crucial in tackling the menace of cybercrime in Nigeria and beyond.
