The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) is undeterred in its mission to secure the Lake Chad Basin region, despite recent propaganda efforts by ISWAP terrorists aimed at intimidating local communities.

The Chief Military Public Information Officer N’djamena -Chad Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi disclosed this on Friday and noted that ISWAP, in a desperate attempt to spread fear, has been urging residents of Kukawa and neighbouring areas to flee or face attack.

The statement reads in part…
“Unfortunately, some media outlets have inadvertently amplified this message, overlooking its implications. The MNJTF and Nigerian Operation HADIN KAI troops, however, remain firmly committed to safeguarding the region and its communities.”

The statement adds that as multinational forces intensify their operations, they are actively pursuing Boko Haram terrorists, moving swiftly and decisively to neutralize any threats.

Lieutenant Colonel Abdullahi said the presence of MNJTF troops and their continued operations serve as a robust shield against this menace.
He described the terrorists’ so-called ultimatum as a clear sign of frustration and diminishing power, as their capability to conduct ground operations has been significantly impaired.

“We urge the residents of Kukawa and neighbouring communities to remain united and vigilant,” said Lieutenant Colonel Abdullahi.

“Report any suspicious activities to the troops immediately. Collective vigilance and cooperation are essential during Operations Lake Sanity 2 and beyond. Our unity is our strength, and together, we can ensure the security of the Lake Chad basin region.” Chief military Public Information Officer stated.

The MNJTF remains resolute in its mission to protect the region and its people, and will not be swayed by terrorist propaganda.

With the support of local communities, the multinational forces will continue to push forward, ensuring the safety and security of all, Enugu Reporters reported.
