NAEC celebrates 16 Generals’ selfless service in grand pulling out parade

The Nigerian Army Education Corps (NAEC) on Monday celebrated the illustrious careers of 16 retired Generals with a colorful pulling-out parade at the Sobi Military Cantonment parade ground, Ilorin, Kwara State. The colourful ceremony, according to a statement by Captain Yemi Sokoya, Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Headquarters NAEC, was to recognize the selfless service and significant contributions of these distinguished officers to the Nigerian Army, NAEC, and the nation.

Major General Muktar Bunza (rtd), Special Guest of Honour and one of the celebrants, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and emphasized the NAEC’s elite status in human capacity development. “We are extremely grateful for the opportunities to serve our nation. Our service years had indeed given us the leeway to significantly contributed to the growth and development of the NAEC and NA in general”.

He urged the Corps to embrace science and technology to support the Nigerian Army’s dynamic responsibilities.
General Bunza (rtd) also commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, for his support and appealed for continued investment in Command Schools to restore their excellence in education.

The Commander NAEC, Major General Bello Alhaji Tsoho, was praised for his dedication to the Corps’ success. General Bunza (rtd) advised the retiring Generals to remain close to the NAEC, offering guidance and support whenever needed, as their legacy and wisdom are invaluable to the Corps, the Nigerian Army, and the nation.

Enugu Reporters noted that the pulling-out parade was a fitting tribute to the retired Generals’ remarkable service, and their contributions will continue to inspire future generations
