President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the valour and bravery of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN), pledging government support for the developmental strides of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC).
At the AFCSC’s Senior Course 46 graduation ceremony in Jaji, President Tinubu, represented by Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Gwabin Musa, praised the college’s commitment to professional development, emphasizing its significance to Nigeria’s security and stability, as well as the West African sub-region.
According to the Director Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, the President highlighted the college’s role in fostering invaluable networking opportunities for future operational collaboration. He urged foreign graduates to maintain the bonds forged and lessons learned, striving for unity and cooperation.
The President emphasized the need for graduates to counter asymmetric and transborder security threats, noting the government’s commitment to enhancing national security and vision for a safe, secure, prosperous, and strong nation.
The Chief of Defence Staff commissioned a remodeled Joint Studies office complex named after him, marking a significant milestone for the college, which has been in existence since 1970 and boasts 240 participants from Senior Course 46, including foreign participants from other African countries.
