Force Commander Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Ibrahim Ali has inducted new Military Staff Officers (MSOs) from Cameroon, Chad, Nigeria, Niger, and the Republic of Benin.
Chief Military Information Officer Headquarters MNJTF N’djamena -Chad Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba disclosed this in a statement, averred that this significant milestone in the MNJTF aimed to enhance stability in the Lake Chad region.
Addressing the diverse coalition of officers, General Ali emphasized the importance of unity, dedication, and commitment to the MNJTF’s mission principles. “As ambassadors of your countries, you are now part of a team that transcends individuality. We are united by a common goal – to ensure that peace and security return to the fringes of Lake Chad.”
The Force Commander noted that the induction ceremony signifies the beginning of a legacy built on dedication, honour, and unwavering commitment to the MNJTF’s mandate.
The new officers, selected for their exceptional dedication, will serve a one-year tour of duty, representing their nations with pride and determination.
The comprehensive induction course will equip the officers with training on the history and mandate of the MNJTF, customs, ethics, and traditions of the region, as well as detailed briefings on duties, air operations, AU/MST activities, and administrative matters.
General Ali expressed confidence in the new MSOs’ ability and unity as a team, urging them to lead by example, inspire those around them, and always keep sight of the greater good.
“Your contributions are vital to our success. Together, we will uphold the honour of our force and ensure the safety and security of those we serve.”
The induction of these new officers reinforces the MNJTF’s commitment to its mandate and values, setting a strong foundation for continued success in the pursuit of peace and security in the Lake Chad Region, Enugu Reporters noted.
