In response to security challenges across its Area of Responsibility (AOR), which includes Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, and Katsina States, Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) has introduced a dedicated toll-free emergency line: 08000020202.
Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Shittu, Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations 8 Division disclosed this on Saturday in a statement relayed to Enugu Reporters.
According to him, this innovative initiative enables the public to report security-related issues promptly, ensuring swift response from security agencies.
The toll-free line facilitates seamless communication between the public and security forces, allowing individuals to report emergencies and complaints without incurring any costs.
He said all calls to the designated number are free of charge, assuring that the caller identities will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
The statement urges the general public to disseminate this vital information widely, ensuring that this valuable resource reaches all corners of the AOR.
