In a significant milestone, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, has commissioned two newly remodelled facilities at the Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA) in Minna, Niger State.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Una Sani, Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations TRADOC, the projects, comprising the Warrant Officers and Sergeants’ Mess and Soldiers’ Club, were inaugurated on September 4, 2024, with Major General Akinroluyo (retired) representing the COAS.
During the commissioning ceremony, the COAS underscored the importance of proper utilization and maintenance of the facilities, urging soldiers to take ownership and make judicious use of the conducive atmosphere provided for relaxation, camaraderie, and regimentation.
The remodelled facilities boast state-of-the-art amenities designed to enhance on-the-job training and foster a stronger sense of discipline and unity among Nigerian Army personnel.
Earlier, the Commander, TRADOC NA, Major General Kevin Aligbe, expressed profound gratitude to the COAS for approving the necessary funds for the remodelling project.
He emphasized that the upgraded amenities would significantly boost regimentation, discipline, and unity among personnel, ultimately supporting the welfare and professional development of NA soldiers.
Master Warrant Officer Sanda Kasimu, President of the Mess Committee for Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess, delivered a vote of thanks on behalf of the soldiers, acknowledging the positive impact of the facilities on morale and welfare.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by senior officers from Army Headquarters, Departmental Chiefs from Headquarters TRADOC NA, and officers and soldiers of the formation.
