CAS inspects facilities at Enugu, Port Harcourt units to boost morale, readiness

In a bold move to actualize his vision of transforming the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) into a formidable force, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, on Saturday embarked on an operational tour of NAF units in Enugu and Port Harcourt.

The Deputy Director Public Relations and Information,NAF, Group Captain Kabiru Ali disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

He said the strategic visit aimed to evaluate the operational readiness and infrastructural development of the units, identifying areas for enhancement to bolster their efficiency and effectiveness.

During the tour, Air Marshal Abubakar inspected various facilities at the 405 Helicopter Combat Training Group (HCTG) and the International Helicopter Flying School (IHFS) in Enugu. He engaged with personnel, sharing valuable insights on improving operational performance and emphasizing the importance of maintaining high levels of preparedness to tackle current and emerging security challenges.

The CAS also reaffirmed his commitment to implementing developmental projects and procuring critical service facilities to elevate the units’ standards.
“Our goal is to ensure a vibrant and effective service delivery across all platforms,” Air Marshal Abubakar stated, underscoring his dedication to excellence.

The CAS also extended his visit to the 115 Special Operations Group (SOG) in Port Harcourt, where he reassured personnel that efforts to provide better facilities and equipment would be prioritized.

This operational tour demonstrates the CAS’s unwavering resolve to enhance the NAF’s airpower capabilities through strategic infrastructural enhancements, robust operational support, and improved logistical and welfare services.
Enugu Reporters gathered that by boosting morale and readiness of NAF personnel , Air Marshal Abubakar sets the stage for the NAF to effectively meet national security imperatives.

The Nigerian Air Force remains committed to actualizing its Command Philosophy, transforming into an agile and resilient force that effectively projects airpower in meeting all national security imperatives.
