The Director Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, has hailed the promotion of two senior officers to the prestigious rank of Major as a testament to their unwavering diligence and professionalism.
Majors Audu Arigu and Akinola Ajibola were decorated at an investiture ceremony held at the Army Headquarters Conference Room in Abuja on Monday.

During the ceremony, Major General Nwachukwu praised the newly promoted officers for their versatility, resilience, and dedication to the Directorate of Army Public Relations (DAPR). He attributed their success to their spouses and family members, urging them to sustain their drive and zeal.

In his remarks, the renowned retired military officers, Major General Chris Olukolade, former Director Defence Information, and Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, a former Director Army Public Relations charged the new majors to uphold utmost professionalism in projecting the DAPR’s values and mission.

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries, Major Audu Arigu expressed heartfelt gratitude to God, the Chief of Army Staff, and senior officers for their mentorship and leadership. He pledged to maintain discipline and professional conduct, enhancing the DAPR’s efforts and promoting the Nigerian Army’s image.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including retired officials, senior officers, and families of the decorated officers, culminating in a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
