In a daring and precision-guided operation, the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (AC OPHK) launched a devastating airstrike on terrorist strongholds in Jubillaram, a notorious enclave in the Tumbuns area of the Lake Chad Basin.
According to the Director Public Relations and Information Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, the feat was achieved after NAF troops meticulously identified through extensive intelligence efforts that the strategic location served as a critical food storage site and a sanctuary for terrorist commanders and fighters.

The NAF fighter jets, in a robust air interdiction mission, destroyed identified structures used as storage facilities and eliminated terrorists on-site.
According to him, mop-up operations using cannons ensured the complete elimination of fleeing hostile elements.
He said the intelligence previously linked terrorists in this same location to have carried out recent attacks, including the assault on troops in Kareto on 16 November 2024.
He further stated that this decisive operation was made possible by extensive Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions conducted over several days, confirming the presence of active terrorist structures camouflaged under dense vegetation.
Air Commodore Akinboyewa noted that the destruction of the terrorist enclave, including food storage facilities, severely disrupted their logistical operations, while the neutralization of a significant number of fighters diminished their capacity to launch future attacks.
This mission demonstrates the NAF’s unwavering commitment to defending our nation and people, acting singly and supporting surface forces in counterterrorism operations.
He assured that the NAF will sustain these robust, independent, and joint operations until all enemies of Nigeria’s prosperity and well-being are brought to justice.
This operation is a testament to the NAF’s capability and determination to rid the nation of terrorist elements, as seen in previous successes such as the airstrikes that decimated scores of Boko Haram terrorists in Bula Marwa, Borno State, among several others, Enugu Reporters gathered.
