The Nigerian Air Force (NAF),on April 15, 2025 executed two highly successful precision strikes, targeting terrorist enclaves in Sambisa general area and Southern Tumbuns in Borno State.
According to the Director Public Relations and Information NAF Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said the intelligence reports and surveillance footage confirmed the presence of high-value terrorist commanders in Kollaram, where the first strike occurred at 5:30 a.m., eliminating several fighters and disabling key infrastructure.
He noted that the operation which was conducted by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI during the second strike in Arra, Sambisa, at 3:55 p.m. employed precision-guided munitions, effectively destroying targets and disrupting the group’s operational capabilities.
These missions according to the statement were part of a sustained air campaign to erode terrorist capabilities and eliminate safe havens.
“Nigerian Air Force assets carried out a precision strike on the location, eliminating several fighters and disabling key infrastructure.
“A second precision strike followed at about 3:55pm in Arra, Sambisa. Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions had earlier detected clusters of terrorists, and real-time visuals confirmed the significant presence.
“Precision-guided munitions were employed, resulting in the effective destruction of targets and disruption of the group’s operational capabilities.
“These back-to-back missions are part of a sustained air campaign designed to erode terrorist capabilities, dismantle leadership structures, and eliminate sanctuaries across Nigeria,“ the statement reads in parts.
