CDS congratulates Nigerians on Eid Kabir, urges unity and cooperation

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has extended warm greetings and deep appreciation to the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the entire citizenry on the occasion of Eid Kabir 2025.

In his message, relayed to newsmen by the Director Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, General Musa acknowledged the unwavering service, resilience, and sacrifice of the troops in defending the nation.

He said, “You are an embodiment of patriotism, and your sacrifice will never go unrecognised.”

The CDS emphasised the importance of security being a shared responsibility, urging citizens to support the security forces by providing timely and credible information, promoting unity, and rejecting extremism and disunity. “Your support and collaboration remain vital to national security,” he stated.

The CDS reaffirmed his commitment to deepening joint operations, improving welfare, investing in training, and leveraging technology to meet modern security challenges. “We are aware of our responsibilities, and we are determined to fulfill them with honour and integrity,” he declared.

General Musa called on all Nigerians to stand together in building a peaceful, prosperous, and secure nation. “Let us all stand together, military, civilians, young and old to build a peaceful, prosperous, and secure Nigeria. We have no other country than Nigeria,” he urged.
